Updated | By Lauren Beukes
South Africa will remain open for business and tourism travel - despite having being banned from travel by countries such as the UK and Germany.

Minister of Tourism Lindiwe Sisulu expressed her disappointment with the ban.
The ministry's Steve Motale says they will continue policymakers in the UK, Japan, Israel and EU to ensure that the best possible interventions are put in place.
"Minister Sisulu added that she would like to commend the South African scientists on their diligence and all the work they have done and remain confident that all measures will be put in place to mitigate the spread of the virus.”
“She said we remain open for business and tourism travel and we appreciate the continued support from various partners across the world and we are confident that through the tourism recovery plan in place, we will reignite demand and once more be tourism strong."
Motale adds that the minister is due to attend the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organisation next week Tuesday in Spain.
She will engage with other leader to ensure the world that SA is open for tourists and measure are in place to ensure their safety.
