Sipho Nzuza's wife arrested in connection to solid waste tender scandal

eThekwini Municipal Manager, Sipho Nzuza's wife has been arrested in connection with the City's multi-million rand solid waste tender scandal.
Bagcinele Nzuza's arrest this morning brings to 17 the number of officials and business people who've been implicated.
The 51-year-old has already appeared in the Durban Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on corruption charges.
The Hawks' Katlego Mogale explains Nzuza's alleged connection to the case.
"Mrs Nzuza, the wife of Sipho Nzuza, the City Manager of the eThekwini Municipality, allegedly facilitated the fitting of a built-in kitchen at her mother-in-law's house," she said.

"One of the service providers is implicated in the multi-million rand solid waste tender, allegedly paid R18,000 for the fitting."
She was granted R30 000 bail and will be back in court on 10 December.
Her husband, Sipho Nzuza, is facing allegations of fraud and corruption and is out on R50 000 bail after he was arrested in March.
He was arrested for the second time last month for breaking his bail conditions.
