Sindiso Magaqa’s killer to be sentenced
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
The man who confessed to killing former African National Congress Youth League Secretary General Sindiso Magaqa will learn his fate on Monday.

The Pietermaritzburg High Court is expected to hand down the sentence.
Sibusiso Ncengwa is one of three men accused of Magaqa’s murder.
Ncengwa admitted to shooting Magaqa and two fellow councillors in July 2017 in uMzimkhulu.
Magaqa died in a Durban hospital several weeks later, while the other two female victims survived the ambush.
In his confession, Ncengwa gave details of what happened before and after the attack, and how he worked with his co-accused. The court accepted his confession as a guilty plea.
The case against the other two accused, Sbonelo Myeza and Mbulelo Mpofana, is set to continue in October.
A fourth suspect, Mlungisi Ncalane, is being held at a psychiatric facility.
