Sihle Zikalala implores citizens to work together in COVID-19 fight

KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala says he doesn't want to see the province grappling to contain COVID-19 as it did a few months ago during the first wave.
Last night, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said the country was officially in the second wave of the disease.
He identified KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape, Western Cape and Gauteng as the key drivers of the surge.
Zikalala was in Howick today to mark the 24th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution. He says people know what they need to do to protect themselves and others.

"Let us work together with the outbreak of the second wave, which has once again gone beyond 6 000 in a day.
"We implore everyone to observe the safety protocol which includes the regular washing of hands avoiding shaking hands. avoiding crowded places."
He urgees road users to be safe on the roads and prevent unnecessary injuries and deaths
