For many South Africans, the holidays officially begin today - after what's been a long year.
The N3 Toll Concession's Con Roux says while there's been a steady increase of traffic flow today - the number of cars expected to travel to KZN via the N3 over the next few days, will be staggering.
He says things are going smoothly so far.
"It's quite significant traffic volumes already, but we are expecting traffic to pick up later, and then tomorrow we are obviously expecting very heavy traffic volumes - probably in excess of 2000 vehicles per hour. And then again on Saturday," he said.
