Updated | By Jacaranda fm
Shot have been fired outside the Senekal Magistrate’s Court following the appearance of two suspects linked to the murder of farmer Brendin Horner.
Free State police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele says no one was injured.
“There was a disruption by the farmers at the court itself, but the police are trying to get the situation under control. But as soon they have intervened then the situation will be normal. However, there are no injuries after two shots were fired.”
The two suspects, Sekwetje Mahlamba and Sekola Matlaletsa, have been charged with murder and made a brief appearance on Tuesday morning.
The situation escalated when a group of disgruntled farmers broke into the cells at the courthouse premises in an effort to identify the accused.

Mahlamba and Matlaletsa were arrested on Saturday after the body of 21-year-old Horner was found hanging from a pole the previous Thursday.
Horn was stabbed before he was found hanging from the pole.
A decision has since been made to transfer the high-profile case to Paul Roux, located some 35 kilometres outside Senekal.
The duo is expected to make a second court appearance on 16 October.
