Shooting witness (12) receiving counselling
A 12-year-old girl who witnessed the murders of two of her family members is currently receiving counselling.
Last week, a male relative was arrested for the murders of his mother and sister in Midillovu.
The 51-year-old is accused of shooting and mutilating the two in the Sigodini area last week.
The child escaped and alerted the neighbours.
He was arrested and has appeared in court.

"A team of social workers have been dispatched to his family and they continue to provide psycho-social support and the engagement of the family regarding the safety of the minor who witnessed this brutal incident,” says KZN Social development Department Spokesperson Mhlaba Memela.
"The family has found it difficult to accept what has happened, there will be an ongoing psycho-social support to the family as well as the community while we engage with them in terms of protecting the minor."
