Shock following KZN ANC member's death
Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
The ANC says they're shocked and saddened by the murder of Sifiso Cele - a branch treasurer on the KZN south coast.
42-year-old Cele - who worked at the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality - was shot in his home yesterday by gunmen who forced his wife and children into the bathroom.
Mzwandile Mkhwanazi - the regional secretary of the lower south coast - says they must've been terrified.
"We need to conscientise people about the importance of life. You might have differences - but why destroy life? Two men invaded his house in the morning. They took the kids to the bathroom.
"The wife was there too. They took him to the main bedroom and he was shot four times. What we heard is that they took some of the cellphones. It's really horrible," Mkhwanazi said.

Cele's family wasn't hurt in the attack. Mkhwanazi says Cele was a good leader and comrade.
"He was a good comrade to me because we grew up together in the struggle. Whenever there would be a problem - he would call me. Whenever I had a problem, we would communicate," he said.
Mkhwanazi is urging investigators to do all they can to catch the killers.
