Severe thunderstorm warning for western KZN

A Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms and damaging winds has been issued for western KwaZulu-Natal.

South African Weather Service forecaster Julius Mahlangu says the warning is for Saturday afternoon and evening.

"The municipalities that are likely to be affected include uThukela, Umgungundlovu, as well as parts of Harry Gwala. So, people in those places are advised to be very cautious."
He says the thunderstorm accompanied by very strong winds may lead to the possibility of localised damage to infrastructure.
