Severe thunderstorm warning issued for western parts of KZN, Midlands

The South African Weather Service has issued a 'watch' for severe thunderstorms over the Midlands and western parts of KwaZulu-Natal for Monday afternoon.

Forecaster, Julius Mahlangu says the forecast shows a 60% chance of rain for today.
He has urged people to take special care during storms.
"When there is a thunderstorm, they must not play with water, and they must stay away from the windows. They must also not hide under tall trees or tall poles, so they must take care when they hear thunder. They must get safe shelter," he said.
