Forecaster Wisane Maluleke says they've issued a level 5 warning for hail, severe lightning and heavy rain in Amajuba, Umzinyathe and Zululand.
"Which means you have the likelihood of significant impact. So, with the orange warning, it means the impact might affect larger areas or cause loss of life. So we are expecting flooding of roads and low-lying areas due to heavy rainfall and damage to infrastructure. We are also expecting poor driving conditions due to slippery roads and poor visibility."
