Seven people shot in central Durban

There was a shooting on Victoria Street in the Durban CBD on Friday.

Paramedics attended to at least seven people who were wounded.
ALS Paramedics say unknown suspects shot the group on Friday afternoon.
Spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says they were treated on scene before being taken to hospital.
He says the motive of the shooting is not yet known.
"One person was rushed privately to a nearby hospital, and six other occupants sustained various gunshot wounds. Some sustained multiple gunshot wounds to their lower limbs.
"All of the injured were stabilised on scene by advanced life support paramedics and Netcare 911, and they will be transported through to various Durban hospitals for the further care they require.
"SAPS is in attendance, and the roadway has been closed to allow for further investigations."
