Seven killed in iLembe District crash

KZN authorities have sent their condolences to the families of seven people killed in an accident near iLembe on the north coast yesterday.
A taxi crashed into a tree in the Ntunjambili Sambaba area.
KZN Emergency Medical Services' Robert Mckenzie says six women and a man died on the scene.

He says eight other people were hurt.
"The tree, 30 to 40 centimetres in diameter, caused significant damage to the body of the minibus. The exact cause of the minibus leaving the road and crashing into the tree are not known at this stage and will be investigated by the police," he said.
