Seven days left to file your tax returns
Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
Non-provisional individual taxpayers have just a week left to file their tax returns, if they haven't done so already.
SARS' Sandile Memela says eFiling is the best way to submit your returns, as the system is available 24/7.
"We have received over five million tax submissions, this includes tax returns received for this year and outstanding returns from previous years. eFiling is the easiest and quickest way to submit your tax returns," he says.
Memela says taxpayers must have all the necessary documents with them to substantiate their claims - including banking statements, IRP5 forms and details of medical expenses.
Provisional taxpayers or people who receive income other than a salary have until the end of January to submit their returns also via eFiling.
