Service delivery requires proper planning, says Gumede
Having spent only a few days as eThekwini Mayor, Zandile Gumede says she'll be cracking the whip to ensure service delivery at grass roots level.
Gumede spoke to Newswatch at the Mayoral Suite at Durban City Hall today.
Various wards within the city have been unhappy with the selection of councillors for their areas, saying they were imposed on them.
Gumede says for communities to get services - there needs to be collaboration between councillors and other officials.
Gumede has also spoken about tightening procedures of awarding tenders. Watch below.
