Serial petrol thief nabbed by Durban police

It's the end of the road for a petrol station thief.

Police nabbed the suspect, who is believed to have been behind a string of fuel station robberies in Durban.
eThekwini metro police say the man has been linked to armed robberies in the Stamford Hill, Durban Central, Hillcrest, Bluff and Waterfall areas.

Spokesperson Booysie Zungu says a tip-off last night led police to a filling station on Sarnia Road, where the suspect was caught.
"Our members arrested a suspect who has been committing armed robberies over a period of six months.
"The suspect was taken to Pinetown SAPS where he was detained and handed over to crime detectives who linked him to a number of armed robbery cases which were committed in Durban and surroundings."
