Senzo Meyiwa case: Hawks deny being on verge of arrest
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Hawks have rubbish reports that they are on the verge of arresting a suspect in the killing of Umlazi born Orlando Pirates captain, Senzo Meyiwa.

Meyiwa, who was a goalkeeper and captain, was shot and killed at the home of his musician girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, in Vosloorus in October 2014 during an alleged home invasion. The Hawks joined the investigation two weeks ago.
Spokesperson for the Hawks, Robert Netshiunde, says they were amazed by the reports.
"We are not going to make any comment on that matter because we said we are going to investigate and we need space to do our job," he said.
"If there is any news to share with the public that will be done in due time. We have never said anywhere that we are going to arrest anyone," Netshiunde said.
