Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula says government will be beefing up the security and law enforcement at OR Tambo International Airport.
The move comes after eight illegal foreigners were arrested at the airport in Johannesburg for attempting to enter South Africa through a fire hydrant.
Four Bangladeshi and four Pakistani nationals arrived on a Qatar Airways flight from Doha on Wednesday.
Mbalula believes the new measures will greatly reduce the number of illegal immigrants.
