Security officer shot in suspected robbery in Musgrave

A security officer was shot and wounded in Durban's Musgrave area on Monday.

While the circumstances surrounding the shooting aren't yet clear, it appears there had been a robbery on Vause Road.
ALS paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says the guard suffered a single gunshot wound.

"The security officer has been shot in his abdomen.
"Advance Life Support Paramedics went to stabilise the man on scene before he was rushed to hospital for the further care that he required.
"At this stage, the events leading up to the shooting are not yet clear. However, SAPS will be investigating further."
