Security officer killed in Mayville robbery
A security officer has been shot and killed during a business robbery in Durban.
Police say four armed men entered the premises in Mayville and held staff hostage on Tuesday.
They robbed two security guards of their shotguns and stole cash.
The robbers then fled in a getaway vehicle.
Emer-G-Med's Kyle Van Reenan says the other guard has been injured.
"The second man has been rushed to hospital privately whilst a third has suffered moderate injuries.
"The South African Police Services are in attendance and will be conducting the necessary investigations accordingly."
