Three security guards are receiving treatment following a cash-in-transit heist near Greytown yesterday afternoon.

National spokesperson, Vish Naidoo says a group of armed men in two vehicles attacked a cash-in-transit vehicle by firing shots at it, causing it to veer off the road.

"They then used explosives to open up the vehicle. They fled with an undisclosed amount of cash," he said.

ER24 says it is understood the guards were hurt when their vehicle overturned.
