Security guard shot during CIT robbery in Mobeni Heights

Paramedics were on the
scene of a shooting incident at a petrol station in Mobeni Heights on Wednesday
morning, that occurred during an alleged robbery targeting a cash van.
A security officer has been left seriously wounded.
Garrith Jamieson from ALS Paramedics says they treated the man at the garage on Meranti Street just after 6am.

"Paramedics arrived on scene to find SAPS and private security in attendance. One man believed to be in his 40s sustained a serious gunshot wound to one of his arms.
"He was stabilised on scene by advanced life support paramedics before he was rushed off to a hospital for the further care that he required.
"At this stage, events leading up to the robbery are unknown. However, SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further."
