Security guard arrested after fatal PMB shooting

A 39-year-old man has been shot and killed in an industrial area in Willowton in Pietermaritzburg this morning.
"When we arrived there - the man had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Paramedics were unable to assist him and declared him dead at the scene. The SAP was on scene and are busy investigating the situation," he said.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says a security guard and a worker had an argument before the shooting.

"After an argument, it is alleged that a security guard produced his firearm and shot and killed the worker. The Mountain Rise opened a case of murder and the security guard was arrested and his firearm was seized for further investigation. He is expected to appear in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate's Court soon," he said.
Zwane says no other injuries have been reported.
