Security guard at uMgababa creche confesses to murdering two women

A security guard has
pleaded guilty to the murders of a creche owner and a staff member in uMgababa
on the south coast.
Thokozani Mhlongo
admitted before the Pietermaritzburg High Court to attacking Moni Xulu and
Zanele Mbuso in August.
He also pleaded guilty to the theft of their cell phones. He worked at the creche as a security guard since 2014 and lived on the property.
Mhlongo says he'd confided in Xulu that he had no family but grew angry when he heard others talking about him.

He says Mbuso, who worked in the kitchen, accused him of stealing food.
"Mhlongo also told the court how he strangled a woman and buried their bodies in a shallow grave on the creche property," said spokesperson for the NPA in KZN.
Sentencing proceedings are expected to get underway on Monday.
