Second family murder in northern KZN - in a week

Kwazulu-Natal has been rocked by yet another family killing - this time in Ndwedwe, in northern KZN.
Police there say a family was brutally murdered in the Mzunga area on Friday night.
Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says the family members were sleeping in their home when they were shot at.
35-year- old Thandokwakhe Bhengu and her 16-year-old son Lindelani Bhengu were shot dead.
Zwane says the youngest family member, 8-year-old Lungisani Bhengu, was found hanged.
"The Ndwedwe police have opened three counts of murder, and the motive for the killing of these three people is still unknown. The matter is still under investigation, there's no arrests made. We are appealing to anyone who might have information, anyone who with know;edge of the incident to please come forward so that the matter can be fully investigated," Zwane said.
Last week, a Melmoth family in the Zululiyaduma area in northern KZN were attacked and killed.
A 49-year-old woman, her 23-year-old son and her 27-year-old pregnant daughter were attacked with a bush knife and shot.
A 30-year-old who survived the ordeal is in a critical condition in hospital.
