Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The search for a driver of a vehicle that was pulled into a river, during heavy rains has temporarily been called off in Winterton in western KZN.
A team of search and rescue officials have been searching the Sterkspruit River since Wednesday this week.
It's after the mans vehicle was found submerged with the keys still in the ignition.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Samantha Meyrick and her team have been helping in the search.

" From Wednesday to Thursday Ladysmith SAPS Canine Search and Rescue conducted a search of the river and were unsuccessful."
Friday morning SAPS units from both Ladysmith and Pietermaritzburg, the Bergville Fire Department and IPSS search and rescue were on scene to continue the search.
She says the search was hampered by high waters, lots of debris and dangers to the search and it had to be called off for the weekend to allow the river to drop to a safer level for search and rescue.
