Search for suspects in Westville police chase
Five suspects are on the run after a dramatic police chase ended in a car crash on Westville's Spine Road during peak-hour traffic.
Officers say they spotted the gang travelling in the area this morning and when they followed them, the suspects fled - crashing their car into another motorist.
The police's Thulani Zwane says Spine Road - in the vicinity of The Pavilion shopping centre - is cordoned off.
"Police officers chased the vehicle and it's alleged the vehicle collided with another vehicle. Thereafter, the five occupants jumped out of their vehicle and fled on foot. Right now, the police are still trying to look for them."
