Search for suspects in Westville mall shooting

Police have launched a manhunt following a shooting incident at The Pavilion Shopping Centre near Westville yesterday.

Police say early indications are that the victim was targeted after going to the mall and withdrawing an undisclosed amount of cash.
Spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says a person who witnessed the armed robbery took out his own firearm and shot at the suspects.

"The witness who was with the victim managed to shoot towards the suspects and the suspects retliated. As a result, the victim that was robbed was shot and wounded.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment. At this stage - no arrests have been made - and police are still hunting for the suspects," he said.
