There is fear among residents in Kranskop in the Umzinyathi District after one of the busiest supermarkets in town was targeted in a brazen robbery in full view of customers.

More than a dozen suspects entered the Siyabonga Powertrade on Saturday afternoon.
A source close to the case says 18 suspects entered the supermarket and then split up to different sections of the store.
Some of them instructed a manager to empty about 20 tills - two other robbers approached another manager and ordered him to open the safe.
The second manager pulled out a firearm. Two suspects were killed in an exchange of fire while a customer who was caught in the crossfire was wounded.
