Search for suspect who fled Isipingo gun battle
A manhunt is continuing in Durban for a suspect who fled the scene of a deadly shootout with police.
The man and four others were spotted travelling in a vehicle in Isipingo on Monday.
Provincial police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says officers who signalled to the gang to pull over were met with gunfire.

"The suspects defied police instruction and drove off while opening fire at police. Police returned fire, and a shootout ensued while a high-speed chase continued.
"The driver of the suspect's vehicle lost control and collided with street lights. Two suspects were found to have suffered fatal injuries and were certified dead at the scene. Two more suspected were arrested."
Charges of attempted murder and inquest have been opened.
