Massive search for missing aircraft, KZN pilot
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A KZN family is praying an experienced pilot, whose light aircraft disappeared after taking off in Newcastle last week, will return home safely.

The frantic search for Johan Fourie has entered its fifth day.
"The family is still full of belief that he will be found. All the information was put across to Mrs. Fourie. She understands that all indications are the plane went down and might be in the sea. She is hoping the plane is lying somewhere close to the beach in the bushes," he said.

A massive search was launched last week. Family spokesperson, Hennie Koertzen says 61-year-old Fourie took off from Newcastle and was heading towards the coast - possibly to land at St Lucia.
