Search for man after boat capsizes in Durban
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Durban search and rescue teams are searching for a man missing at sea after his ski-boat capsized.

The National Sea Rescue Institute says it received reports that the vessel was taking on water on Thursday near Vetchies Beach.
"It appears that the ski-boat may have suffered engine failure before drifting out of the Durban port entrance where the vessel capsized," says the NSRI's Craig Lambinon.
He says eight people, who were recovered from the water, were treated for hypothermia and shock.

One man was taken to hospital.
He says the survivors told officials that one man was still missing.
"Despite the extensive search that lasted into the early hours of the morning, there remains no sign of the missing man. The vessel was towed into the port of Durban by the NSRI rescue craft.
"Police and metro police divers will continue in a search for the missing man. NSRC commends the local private skipper and his crew for rescuing the eight survivors from the water."
