Search and rescue teams are heading back into the water in Ballito and Verulam, north of Durban, to look for a child and man.
Reports from Hazelmere Dam were that the 28-year-old fell off a boat on Sunday and has been missing since.
"Rescue crews together with police divers from SAPS search and rescue did an extensive search for a prolonged period of time. Unfortunately, the search was suspended due to safety reasons,” Paul Herbst from IPSS Medical Rescue says.
"The search will continue tomorrow [Monday], looking for the 28-year-old male victim that still has not been found."

Meanwhile, there's still no sign of a six-year-old boy who was swept out to sea near the Tongaat River mouth on Saturday.
The child and his mother were in the water at an unprotected beach in Ballito, when they lost their footing.
The mother was assisted and managed to get to shore.
The NSRI's Craig Lambinon says community members are also helping teams look for the little boy.
"During the night, NSIR coastwatchers, local security members and Ballito and Zimbali community members conducted shoreline patrols. The child remains mission and search effects are continuing.”
