KZN police have launched a manhunt for an armed gang that gunned down a cash-in-transit guard and left another person in a critical condition during an armed robbery at store in KwaMashu.

Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says the guard and his colleague had been collecting cash from the shop when they were approached by the suspects on Saturday.
She says they were robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash and assaulted before shots were fired.
"He was shot once in the head and was left critically injured. He was rushed to the hospital and he later died at the facility. The other injured person was a customer and he is in a critical but stable condition," she says.
