Schoolgirl killed in Durban pedestrian crash
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A schoolgirl has been killed and two other people are receiving treatment after being knocked over by a vehicle on the M7 freeway heading towards the Bluff, south of Durban.

Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says the vehicle somehow veered onto the pavement and into the group of pedestrians.
"Out of the three pedestrians, two are Grade 12 pupils who have just completed their final exam paper. One of the girls has been declared deceased on the scene. The second pupil and another pedestrian are currently being treated by advanced life support paramedics," he says.
Jamieson says the cause of the crash is unknown.
"At this stage the events leading up to the vehicle losing control are unknown, however SAPS are in attendance and will be investigating further," he says.
