Schoolboy knocked, killed by taxi in Tongaat
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A 10-year-old boy has been knocked and killed on the R102 in Tongaat, while he was on his way to school.

It is understood the child was run over by a taxi at the Hambanathi intersection, while he was trying to cross the road on Tuesday morning.
IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Paul Herbst says various teams are on the scene.
"Unfortunately, the child was declared deceased on arrival of paramedics due to extensive injuries."
"The taxi that knocked the child was found a couple of metres away from the incident, due to the public wanting to assault the driver," he said.
