School shoes campaign comes to Durban
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
There were happy feet all around after dozens of pupils from Durban received a brand new pair of school shoes.
Driven by Transnet Port Terminals and the Nelson Mandela Foundation, Isidingo Primary in Umlazi, south of Durban last week became the first beneficiary of the “Shoes On Feet” initiative.
The project will see school kids from underprivileged schools nationwide receive this necessity.
According to organisers, other schools in line are Soweto-On-Sea Primary School, Mvula Primary School in Cape Town and Noordhoek Primary school in Velddrif.
