School children injured in crash near Clairwood

Medics on Wednesday treated 10 people, including school children, on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash near Clairwood, south of Durban.

The collision involving six vehicles, including two minibus taxis and cars, took place on Basil February Road.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says the children were on their way to school.

"One of the taxis was carrying children aged approximately 8 to 11 to school. We have approximately 10 patients, including children, that have sustained injuries and will be treated by ALS Paramedics before being transported to various hospitals for further care that they require."
