Updated | By Nushera Soodylal
Scores of school children have been injured in an accident near UKZN in Durban. Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says there was a collision between their school taxi and a car, near one of the university's entrances.
"A total of 21 children have been injured and are being stabilized by different ambulance services on the scene. They'll be transported to various hospitals around the city," Jamieson says.
He says the children were on their way home, at the time of the smash.
Their injuries range from minor to moderate in severity.
