Sassa warns of fraudsters posing as officials in Mthunzini
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
The South African Social Security Agency is urging grant beneficiaries to be vigilant of fraudsters posing as Sassa officials in northern KZN's Mthunzini area.
Spokesperson Sandy Godlwana says they understand that unsuspecting beneficiaries are being told that their cards needs to be changed.
She says they're then requested to hand their existing cards over to these criminals.

"Sassa is not embarking on a campaign to change Sassa cards and under no circumstances will Sassa officials visit households to change beneficiaries' cards.
"Sassa urges all beneficiaries to not cooperate with anybody who requests to change their cards and instead report incidents directly to the police or to Sassa offices."
