SASCO wants Unisa exam centre re-opened
Updated | By Nondumiso Zakwe

The branch secretary of SASCO in Durban, Siyabonga Zulu says 10 out of 15 exam centres in Kwazulu-Natal have been shut since June.
Zulu claims many students were not informed of the changes in time causing them to miss some exams.
He has told Newswatch students who are already struggling financially are having to travel further now to access other test centres.
''We're saying those venues must be re-opened so that students can write their tests.
''We are already in a crisis of not having enough classes for students to study in. We commit ourselves to ensuring that the university remains shut until the vice-chancellor [attends to our concerns],'' he said.
Management at UNISA has explained that the leases for some of the exam centres came to an end and that they have tried to find alternative venues.
The university has urged those who've been protesting to use the proper channels of communication to raise their grievances.
