SA's GDP shrinks by 3,2%

The country's economy contracted by 3,2% in the first quarter of this year.

It's the largest quarterly drop in a decade.
Stats SA says the main drivers of the negative growth were manufacturing, which was down 8.8% and mining which declined by 10.8%.
Agriculture was down 13.2%.

South Africans spent less money on transport and bought fewer clothes and shoes, as household spending was down by 0,8%.
