SA’s Covid-19 deaths breaches 21 000 mark

The latest covid-19 update from the Department of Health reveals 2493 new infections in South Africa.
One-hundred and fifteen more coronavirus related deaths have been reported with 10 of those fatalities from KZN.
This brings the total to 21 083 deaths.
In KZN, there are 5645 active cases.
The national recovery rate stands at 92,8 percent.
Meanwhile, hopes for a worldwide rollout of an inoculation were given an extra lift on Tuesday when Russia said its Sputnik V drug had shown to be 95 percent effective, making it the fourth that could be available soon after similar positive announcements from Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca.
