SARS bust man at King Shaka Airport for smuggling millions

A man is behind bars after customs officials caught him at Durban's King Shaka International Airport - apparently trying to smuggle R3.9-million out of the country.
SARS spokesperson, Sandile Memela, says the man was travelling to Dubai and was stopped and checked.
"It has been a very busy weekend for SARS Customs officials. Scanned bags were found with a currency of R3.9-million. The man has since been handed-over to the SAPS for further investigation," he said.

In another bust - R1.7-million worth of cocaine was found in shampoo bottles at OR Tambo International Airport this weekend.
Memela says a sniffer dog led officials to the drugs which weighed around 6kg.
He says the haul has been handed over to police for further investigation.
