SAPS make one arrest linked to Chatsworth murder

KZN police have arrested a man linked to the murder of a 63-year-old Chatsworth woman.

The SAPS's Thulani Zwane says the 24-year-old suspect faces charges of murder & attempted murder after Gona Pillay and her husband, Logie, were stabbed in their Chatsworth home on Wednesday night.
The body of the former Southlands Secondary School headmistress was found in the bathroom. 69-year-old Logie remains in a critical condition in hospital. Zwane says a group of men entered the home posing as potential home buyers.
"We know that the suspects entered the premises posing as though they wanted to buy the property, but we appreciate any information we receive from members of the community," he said.

The robbers made off with a number of valuables from the home as well as the couple's car. Zwane says they're searching for 3-other suspects.
"The vehicle that was taken from the scene was recovered last night, police are still looking for more suspects who were allegedly involved in this incident."
