Santaco yet to make call on Cosatu national strike
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The South African National Taxi Council in KZN says it hasn't yet decided if it will take part in Cosatu's national strike on Thursday.
Members of the trade union federation will protest the levels of unemployment and what it believes to be the government's inability to speed up economic growth.
COSATU wants the government to address the rising cost of living, reduce interest rates and root out corruption.

Marches will be held in several provinces, including in KZN.
SANTACO's Sifiso Shangase says that individual members are welcome to participate in the marches.
"We are saying individual operators are not prohibited from participating while we are still going to be meeting on Wednesday and apply our minds if the meeting doesn't materialise, then we are still reiterating that our individual constituency members can participate on their own, not to say that they will have to get permission from the leadership for them to be part of that. As Santaco, for now, there is no position regarding that."
