SANTACO members to hold discussions on Go! Durban agreement
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Taxi alliance SANTACO says it is preparing to meet with its members to discuss the terms of an agreement reached between eThekwini Municipality and taxi stakeholders on the Go! Durban project.

The City says it and the eThekwini Municipality Management Taxi Council will be working together to ensure that the construction of the route continues. The municipality’s Tozi Mthetwa says an efficient transport network is crucial.
"Both the city and the taxi industry are aware of the magnitude of benefits to the city in relation to the infrastructure upgrade," she said.
"The transport sector is especially aware that it stands to benefit significantly from the Go! Durban project," Tozi said.
The development of the city’s Integrated Rapid Public Transport Network project has been marred by delays caused mainly by protesting taxi operators who say they were not consulted and are worried the project will threaten their livelihoods.
