SANParks employee strike not affecting KZN
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Workers at SA National Parks are considering a new pay offer by the employer.

They've suspended their strike - saying they'll spend the next four days going over the proposed pay hike.
Union, HOSPERSA, had been asking for a 9% increase - SANParks previously offered a 7% rise.

After staff downed tools at the country's game reserves yesterday morning, management and the union met with the CCMA which saw a new offer being put on the table.
Musa Mtambo, with Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, says the strike and negotiations don't affect workers in our province.
"KZN does not fall under SANParks. KZN Wildlife is only found in KZN. Whatever happens in SANParks doesn't affect us," he said.
