SANDF personnel facing PPE fraud, corruption charges

The South African National Defence Force chief Rudzani Maphwanya has condemned the behaviour of a group of military personnel facing fraud and corruption charges.
The four members lined up in a military court last week on charges linked to the procurement of PPEs during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
A Special Investigating Unit probe fingered 15 SANDF officials for alleged misconduct.

The SIU report found that some criminal activities like fraud by some officials warranted criminal action.
The suspects' case has been postponed until next Thursday, while other members will appear in court this week.
