Sand replenishment update: North Beach re-opened

Sand pumping operations are continuing at beaches in and around Durban.

eThekwini Municipality says parts of Dairy Beach, Country Club and Battery Beach remain closed to allow for the replenishment of sand.
North Beach has now been reopened to the public.
The city's Afika Ndima says they're currently focusing on Dairy Beach and are urging bathers to make use of other beaches.
And Ndima says they will be moving to the Suncoast area in the coming week.
